DESIGN APPROACH

Creating a ring that feels right can be a lot of pressure; timelines, budgets, and personal taste, especially when it’s your first piece of fine jewellery.

You don’t have to figure it out alone. I guide you through each stage so you are clear and confident in the final piece. 

There are three ways we can work together, bespoke, custom or heirloom redesign, all of which are shaped around you. 

BESPOKE engagement ring

Start from scratch with a ring designed entirely around you. From hand-drawn sketches to carefully chosen stones, every detail is collaborative and deeply personal.

Bespoke rings take 8 to 12 weeks, with earlier completion  possible if you have a specific proposal date in mind.

Bespoke engagement rings typically start from £2495.

CUSTOM engagement ring

Start with an existing Le Ster design you love and make it exclusively yours. Choose your stone, metal and details to create something personal to you.

Custom designed rings take 6 to 8 weeks, and can often be completed sooner if you have a specific proposal date in mind.

Custom engagement rings typically start from £1495.

HEIRLOOM redesign

Give new life to a cherished stone or an existing piece.Together, we’ll reimagine it into a ring that reflects your relationship to it, while honouring the story it holds.

Heirloom redesign timelines vary depending on the piece, but most
pieces are completed within 6 to 10 weeks.

Pricing is discussed once we’ve seen the piece and understood what you'd like it to become.

I’m Aishleen Lester


And I love hearing your stories.

It’s what drew me to jewellery in the first place. The chance to create miniature sculptures you can wear, not hang in a gallery. Something meaningful, visible and alive.

I trained as an artist and completed my Master’s at the Royal Academy. I later created large scale installations shown in London and New York.

Years of working with materials and form shape how I collaborate with you today, creating pieces that feel deeply personal and considered.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Don’t worry, that’s what I’m here for. We’ll have a relaxed chat about your partner and what’s special to you both. You don’t need to prepare anything, just talking it through often sparks ideas. From there, I’ll create three to five loose sketches to give us a sense of direction, and together we’ll refine the one that feels right for you.

Yes, absolutely! Designs often evolve, and that’s part of the fun. I want you to feel confident and excited about your engagement ring, and have plenty of space to make sure it feels perfect.

Yes, definitely. Choosing the stone is one of the most exciting parts. Unlike diamonds, gemstones can vary so much in colour and tone, which makes finding the right one a very personal decision. We’ll look at a selection within your budget (either on video or in person), exploring different cuts, colours, and tones until we discover the stone that feels just right for your design.

A custom design usually takes six to eight weeks, but if you have a special date in mind for your proposal, let me know. I’ll do everything I can to make sure the ring is ready for that moment.

Don’t worry, there are lots of ways to find out your partner’s ring size, and I’ll guide you through them when we chat. And if it’s not quite perfect the first time, one complimentary resizing is always included in the bespoke process.
